Service Agreement

These terms govern your use of J.F. Hannukaine Company's auto painting services. Please read carefully before engaging our services.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By engaging J.F. Hannukaine Company for auto painting services, requesting quotes, or using our website, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our services.

2. Services Provided

J.F. Hannukaine Company provides professional automotive painting services including:

  • Complete vehicle paint jobs
  • Custom design and graphics work
  • Collision repair painting
  • Classic car restoration painting
  • Touch-up and spot repair services
  • Protective coating applications

3. Estimates and Pricing

Written Estimates

All service estimates are provided in writing and are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Estimates are based on the condition of the vehicle at the time of inspection.

Additional Work

If additional work is discovered during the service process, we will contact you for approval before proceeding. Additional charges may apply for:

  • Hidden damage discovered during preparation
  • Additional bodywork requirements
  • Changes to original specifications
  • Premium paint or materials upgrades

4. Payment Terms

Payment Schedule

  • 50% deposit required to begin work
  • Remaining balance due upon completion
  • Payment accepted via cash, check, or credit card
  • Insurance payments handled directly with approved providers

Late Payment

Vehicles may be held until payment is received in full. A storage fee of $25 per day may be charged for vehicles not picked up within 5 days of completion notification.

5. Customer Responsibilities

Vehicle Preparation

Customers are responsible for:

  • Removing all personal items from the vehicle
  • Providing accurate information about vehicle condition
  • Ensuring vehicle is accessible for pickup and delivery
  • Providing necessary keys and access codes

Insurance and Documentation

For insurance claims, customers must provide all necessary documentation and cooperate with insurance adjusters as required.

6. Warranty and Quality

Service Warranty

We provide the following warranties on our work:

  • Complete paint jobs: 2 years against defects in materials and workmanship
  • Touch-up services: 6 months against defects
  • Collision repairs: 1 year against defects
  • Custom work: 1 year against defects

Warranty Exclusions

Warranties do not cover:

  • Damage from accidents, abuse, or neglect
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage from environmental factors (hail, vandalism, etc.)
  • Modifications made by others after our work
  • Failure to follow recommended care instructions

7. Limitation of Liability

Our liability is limited to the cost of the services provided. We are not responsible for:

  • Consequential or incidental damages
  • Loss of use of vehicle
  • Personal items left in vehicles
  • Pre-existing conditions not disclosed
  • Damage from acts of nature or third parties

8. Vehicle Storage and Care

Storage Responsibility

While vehicles are in our care, we will:

  • Store vehicles in a secure facility
  • Take reasonable precautions to prevent damage
  • Maintain appropriate insurance coverage
  • Notify customers of any incidents immediately

Customer Pickup

Customers must pick up completed vehicles within 5 business days of notification. Extended storage may result in additional charges.

9. Cancellation and Changes

Customer Cancellation

Customers may cancel services with the following conditions:

  • Before work begins: Full refund minus administrative fee
  • After work begins: Charges for completed work and materials used
  • Cancellation must be in writing

Service Changes

Changes to approved work orders must be requested in writing and may result in additional charges and timeline adjustments.

10. Dispute Resolution

Good Faith Resolution

We are committed to resolving any disputes fairly and promptly. Customers should contact us immediately with any concerns.

Mediation

If direct resolution is not possible, disputes may be resolved through mediation before pursuing legal action.

11. Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or inability to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to natural disasters, government actions, labor disputes, or supply chain disruptions.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Washington State. Any legal proceedings will be conducted in the appropriate courts of Washington State.

13. Modifications to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Updated terms will be posted on our website and apply to services contracted after the effective date.
